XPeng announced that it received more than 10,000 reservation requests for the renewed P7 in about six and a half minutes after the launch of the 100% electric model in China.
The leading Chinese electric vehicle brand in Artificial Intelligence mobility and high technology presented the renewed model on Wednesday, August 6, which is available in single motor and dual motor configurations, with the rear-wheel drive version delivering a maximum power output of 367 hp. The all-wheel drive version, on the other hand, offers a combined power of 595 hp.
Powering the electric motors are batteries with capacities of 74.9 kWh and 92.2 kWh. In terms of charging, the P7 supports 5C supercharging with a maximum power of 486 kW, which promises to allow a 10-minute recharge to add 512 km of range. Meanwhile, charging from 10% to 80% of the battery can be completed in 11.3 minutes.
Regarding range, XPeng announces that the renewed P7 can achieve a range of 702 km in the generous Chinese CLTC cycle with the 74.9 kWh battery version, and 820 km for the version equipped with the 92.2 kWh battery. The all-wheel drive variant promises a range of up to 750 km.
Despite the high demand for the renewed P7 in China, the model will only hit the market at the end of August, at which time the brand will reveal the prices of the model.
