Renovado Opel Mokka traz interior mais moderno e digital

Opel has decided to update the Mokka, four years after its launch, and the well-known model now presents slight exterior updates, along with an interior featuring a new generation of the infotainment system.

Visually, the Rüsselsheim brand in Germany has not introduced many changes, as this was the first model to adopt Opel’s new design philosophy.

In this sense, noteworthy is the redesigned front bumper, as well as the new special aerodynamic wheels for the Mokka Electric, and the absence of chrome accents in the exterior design.

At the rear, Opel’s designers have updated the LED taillights, which now feature a design similar to that used in the brand’s more recent models, the Frontera and Grandland.

The biggest change is in the cabin, which features a new 10″ digital instrument panel and a similarly large color touchscreen for the infotainment and navigation system, taking the new Mokka to another level. Similar to a smartphone, the latter can be easily operated through widgets. Additionally, the voice assistant “Hey Opel” is available as an alternative.

Still inside, the refreshed Mokka makes use of fabrics made from recycled materials. Also noteworthy is the new steering wheel, flattened at the top and bottom, which conveys a sportier character, along with the central console between the front seats, in a matte silver finish, that helps to present a more modern image of the Mokka’s interior.

The refreshed Opel Mokka will be available in two trim levels, “Edition” and “GS,” as well as with two customization packages.

In terms of engine options, the Mokka features an entry-level version equipped with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 136 hp, which sends power to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.

The mild-hybrid version combines the same combustion engine with a 28 hp electric motor housed in the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Finally, the 100% electric version features an electric motor with 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque, powered by a 54 kWh battery, which claims a range of up to 403 kilometers.

“Our Mokka is a best-seller. Bold, clear, and unmistakable: a model with character that stands out from the crowd. That’s why we have only slightly refined its contemporary design with the new Opel Blitz and graphic elements. The biggest change is in the interior. The cabin is now even clearer and reproduces the graphics of the Opel Vizor at the front of the vehicle. Drivers and passengers of the new Mokka can enjoy the new generation of infotainment. We are very pleased to now open the order book for the new Mokka,” said Florian Huettl.
