Renovado Skoda Enyaq traz novo design e interior atualizado

In the year it marks its 130 years of history, Skoda has just unveiled the updated Enyaq in both SUV and SUV coupé variants.

The 100% electric model from Skoda, with over 250,000 units sold, now incorporates the brand’s new Modern Solid design language from Mladá Boleslav, featuring a striking front with a newly designed Tech-Deck Face in glossy black, a Light Band, and newly designed Matrix LED headlights.

Additionally, the traditional winged arrow logo that has adorned the hoods of the Czech brand’s models since 1926 is now replaced by the word Skoda.

The rear design is equally striking, with the letters Skoda in Unique Dark Chrome, a well-defined profile, and C-shaped taillights available in two variants, both featuring LED technology.

The top version adds dynamic turn indicators and integrates the taillights into the Coming/Leaving Home animation, offering a choice of two animations for the LED taillights with dynamic indicators.

The visual of the revamped Enyaq is highlighted by large, aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels, available in sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches. In particular, the range now includes 21-inch Supernova alloy wheels and a newly introduced exclusive metallic paint in Olive Green. The color options extend to two solid paint finishes and seven metallic ones.

The new design of the Enyaq is now more aerodynamic, which, according to the Czech brand, has reduced the SUV’s drag coefficient from 0.257Cd to 0.245Cd, while the Coupé version has decreased from 0.240Cd to 0.229Cd. This fact contributes to a significant increase in the vehicles’ range in the WLTP cycle.

The revamped Enyaq is available in both SUV and SUV coupé variants, both sharing the MEB platform and a wheelbase of 2.76 meters. The front axle is equipped with ventilated disc brakes and single-piston calipers for the Enyaq 60, and two-piston calipers for the Enyaq 85 and Enyaq 85x, while the rear axle is equipped with drum brakes.

Both versions feature a MacPherson front suspension with lower triangular arms and a transverse stabilizer bar, combined with a Multilink rear suspension with five transverse arms and a torsion stabilizer bar. Comfort can be enhanced with adaptive DCC dampers or progressive steering with a variable gear ratio.

The Sportline version of the revamped Enyaq emphasizes its sporty aesthetics with black details. This variant features a glossy black finish on the front spoiler, window trim, and roof rails of the SUV body, as well as metallic black mirror caps. The front and rear letters also have a black finish.

Other features include tinted rear side windows and a tinted rear window (SunSet), as well as the Sportline logo on the tailgate. This sportier version comes standard with 20’’ metallic black Vega alloy wheels, with optional 21’’ Supernova wheels available in the same finish.

Skoda has also announced that the refreshed Enyaq will feature three levels of powertrains. The entry-level model is now the Enyaq 60, which replaces the 50, and is equipped with a rear axle permanent magnet electric motor delivering 204 hp and 310 Nm of maximum torque, powered by a 63 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing for a range of 437 km for the SUV version and 446 km for the Coupe variant. The top speed is 160 km/h.

The Enyaq 85 variant also features an electric motor and rear-wheel drive but is equipped with a larger lithium-ion battery made up of twelve modules, with a gross capacity of 82 kWh and a range of 586 km for the SUV version and 596 km for the Coupe. The motor produces 286 hp and a maximum torque of 545 Nm.

The Enyaq 85x is also equipped with the larger 82 kWh battery, offering a range of 549 km for the standard version and 558 km for the Coupe, but features two electric motors, one for each axle, enabling all-wheel drive. This system continuously adjusts the power delivered to the front wheels, reducing energy consumption and improving directional stability. Both versions reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h.

All three powertrain options are available for both the SUV and Coupe versions, as well as for the Sportline variants.

All variants of the renewed Skoda Enyaq allow for high charging capacities: up to 165 kW for the Enyaq 60 and a maximum of 175 kW for the Enyaq 85x. In this way, the Czech brand announces that the larger battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes at DC fast charging stations. The Enyaq 60 can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. All models can charge up to 11 kW at AC charging stations.

Inside, the renewed Enyaq offers ample space for passengers, complemented by a generous trunk capacity, ranging from 585 to 1,710 liters in the SUV version and from 570 to 1,610 liters in the Coupé variant.

Additionally, it features a redesigned steering wheel that is now heated as standard and displays the Skoda letters, as well as a 5” digital instrument panel and a 13” central infotainment screen, which are part of the standard equipment.

An augmented reality head-up display is available as an option, as part of an equipment package.

“We want to further excite the market by leveraging the current strengths of the Enyaq, such as its generous space offering, efficient transmission systems, and excellent value proposition. Our new Modern Solid design language, the most comprehensive standard equipment, and new digital features combine to make the Enyaq models even better companions for everyday life.”, said Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto, during the presentation of the revamped Enyaq.

Skoda has already announced that orders for the new Enyaq will open in several European markets starting January 9, with prices starting at €44,000.
