In November, the Renault Clio was the best-selling new car in the European market, reported the consultancy Dataforce, with 19,213 units sold in the region, an increase of 14% compared to the same month in 2024. The utility vehicle from the French brand, which has a new generation (the sixth since 1990) about to be commercially launched, has become the favorite among Europeans for the fourth time in 2025 (after April, May, and June).
Regardless of the (very) good commercial performance of the Clio, the Dacia Sandero (another brand of the Renault Group) leads the sales chart for the year-to-date in 2025, with 225,862 units delivered this year, which corresponds to a decrease in demand of 8.7% compared to the first eleven months of 2024. In second place, Renault Clio, with 206,583 units. The T-Roc, the VW Made in Portugal, yet another model with a new generation on the launch pad, completes this podium, with 196,123 units.

Clio and Sandero, two offerings from the Gallic consortium competing in the B segment, are the biggest beneficiaries of the market trend in Europe, where consumers are seeking more affordable cars due to the widespread increase in prices. This is evidenced by the numbers from the European Central Bank (ECB) – since 2015, according to the institution, prices have increased by 25% to 33%!
The best-selling 100% electric vehicle in 2025, the Tesla Model Y, with 127,286 units, ended November in 16th place (10,893 units sold), an improvement from October (when it was only 65th), but this fact only masks the reality that demand for the model continues to decline (-38% in November compared to the same month in 2024). However, at the American brand, the Model 3 shows a progress of 53%, with 11,296 units sold (76,077 units year-to-date), due to the commercial availability of a more affordable version (it has less equipment but maintains the range and performance).
