Porsche 911 Carrera S ganha versão mais dinâmica de sempre

Porsche has decided to add the new Carrera S to the 911 model range, opting to equip the sports car with a 3.0-liter turbo boxer engine that delivers 480 hp and 530 Nm of maximum torque, representing an increase of 30 hp over its predecessor.

To achieve these figures, among other measures, Porsche installed new turbochargers and optimized the cooling of the forced induction air. Additionally, the engineers at the German brand equipped this Carrera S with a sports exhaust featuring silver tips, which comes as standard.

As a result, the new 911 Carrera S Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 308 km/h.

To the dismay of purists, this new variant of the 911 Carrera S is equipped with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (PDK), which transfers all power to the rear wheels, eliminating the option for a manual gearbox.

It is also worth noting the new braking system, which according to Porsche provides an improvement in driving dynamics. The system, already known from the 911 Carrera GTS, comes standard with red brake calipers and 408 mm discs at the front and 380 mm at the rear.

As an option, a Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system is available, tested on the track, along with the PASM sports suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 mm, combined with a rear-wheel steering system.

The hydraulic system of the dampers has been optimized compared to its predecessor, while the steering, in combination with the rear-wheel steering, is more direct, and the front axle kinematics have been adjusted to ensure even more agile and direct handling, while increasing stability at high speeds.

Standard, the sports model comes with the Black Leather Package. The seats, headrests, dashboard, door panels, and the rear seat system, which is optional in the Coupe, are upholstered in smooth leather.

As with other Carrera models, the foldable rear seats are available at no additional cost, as an alternative to the standard two-seat configuration. The cabriolet version is equipped with a rear seat system.

The Carrera S benefits from all the updated standard equipment of the rest of the range. In other words, it is equipped with LED Matrix headlights and a wireless smartphone charger.

Options include a front axle lift system, the innovative HD-Matrix LED headlights, and the Sport Chrono Package, which includes the Porsche Track Precision app, ideal for track days.

The new 911 Carrera S, positioned between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, is now available for order in Portugal, with prices starting at €187,444 for the Coupé version and €205,319 for the Cabriolet.
