The new Opel Astra Electric arrives on the market with significant improvements in range, technology, and versatility, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to practical and functional electric mobility.

More range for everyday use

The compact electric sedan from Opel now offers up to 454 kilometers of range (WLTP), an increase of about 35 km compared to the previous generation.

Equipped with a 115 kW (156 hp) motor and a 58 kWh (55 kWh usable) battery, the Astra Electric positions itself as an efficient solution for daily use with zero local emissions.

V2L: the car that powers other devices

One of the main innovations is the introduction of the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) system, which allows the vehicle’s battery to power external devices.

With this technology, the Astra Electric can:

  • charge electric bicycles
  • power equipment such as grills or tools
  • connect household devices via a portable socket

The system provides up to 3.6 kW of power, being used through an adapter connected to the charging port.

Technology extended to various Opel models

The V2L functionality is not limited to the Astra. Opel is expanding this technology to several electric models in its range, including:

  • Grandland Electric
  • Mokka Electric
  • Corsa Electric
  • Combo Electric

Some models include a bidirectional charger as standard, while others offer more powerful versions as an option.

More than a car: a mobile energy solution

With this approach, the Astra Electric ceases to be just a means of transportation, also taking on the role of a portable power source, increasing its utility in different scenarios, such as leisure or work.

“Electric All In” offer strengthens proposal

Opel complements the launch with the “Electric All In” package, which includes several services to facilitate the transition to electric mobility:

  • wallbox for home charging
  • travel and charging assistance
  • battery warranty
  • associated digital services

A more complete electric compact

With greater range, bidirectional technology, and an expanded set of services, the new Opel Astra Electric strengthens its position in the electric compact segment, offering a more versatile proposal tailored to the real needs of users.
