Ferrari will present six new models by the end of the year, some of which have already been revealed in the first six months of the year. The most anticipated moment of the year for fans of the Maranello brand is indeed the first details of the first fully electric Ferrari, which will be known in the last quarter of the year.
However, another of the novelties is the Ferrari Hypersail, which is not a sports car, but rather a boat, directed by Giovanni Soldini, the most famous Italian sailor of all time.
The Ferrari Hypersail, which is expected to be completed in 2026, is an oceanic monohull with foil technology, capable of rising above the water’s surface, like the boats that compete in the America’s Cup, thanks to special wings attached to the hull.
Despite the similarities with high-performance sailing models, this Ferrari Hypersail is a vessel intended for open sea navigation, that is to say, for intercontinental competitions.
Although Soldini has not revealed whether the new vessel bearing the Maranello brand will be involved in a regatta, it is certain that the next edition of the America’s Cup will take place in 2027 in the bay of the Italian city of Naples. The truth is that the new Ferrari Hypersail may aim for the Jules Verne Trophy, which is the fastest round-the-world sailing race completed with a crew, without stops or assistance, over an official distance of 21,600 nautical miles, or about 40,003 km.
