Novo Mercedes GLC elétrico traz grelha iluminada

Mercedes-Benz is about to enter a new era in its electric vehicle strategy with the new electric GLC. To mark this new era, Mercedes has refined the design language to be showcased in the new GLC, highlighting the new grille, described as: “A striking centerpiece that preserves the essence of Mercedes-Benz and gives it modernity through reduced, clear, and innovative lines.”

The interaction between design, technology, and craftsmanship is evident in three key elements: a broad chrome structure, a glass grille structure, and integrated contour lighting. An illuminated version with 942 backlit pixels is available as an option. This optional pixel graphic can be animated “and brings the GLC to life.”

Additionally, the central star and the integrated contour around the panel are illuminated. “The new iconic grille is not just a new front for the GLC — it redefines the brand’s design. It is the perfect fusion of design codes that are part of the brand’s history reinterpreted for the future, making our vehicles instantly recognizable,” said Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of the German brand.

Remember that the new electric GLC will make its world premiere on September 7 at the Munich Motor Show (IAA Mobility) and will feature an 800-volt electric architecture.

This technology promises to optimize efficiency and performance, significantly reducing loading times when combined with the latest generation of batteries. Fast charging in direct current (DC) with the GLC 400 4Matic can achieve a power of over 320 kW.

Depending on the country, a DC converter is installed, allowing the use of 400-volt charging stations. The model can add about 260 km of electric range in just 10 minutes.

It is already known that the new GLC will be offered in 100% electric versions and with combustion engines in the coming years. The fully electric version will be the first model based on the new MB.EA (Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture) platform.
