The new Mazda 6e arrives in the European market with the new “Omotenashi” concept.

Novo Mazda 6e chega ao mercado europeu com o novo conceito “Omotenashi”

Mazda is about to enter a new era of its electric mobility strategy, with the arrival on the market in September of the new 6e, which presents a personalized vehicle entry and exit experience inspired by the Japanese concept of Omotenashi, the art of anticipating the needs of others with attention to detail.

From the moment the driver approaches, the Mazda6e provides a warm welcome, activating the Welcome Mode as soon as the vehicle detects the key, with the opening of the side mirrors, the door handles revealing themselves, and a distinctive light signature displayed on the front and rear sections welcoming the driver.

Depending on the settings, the rear spoiler is discreetly activated. When the door opens, the driver’s seat moves back 10 centimeters to facilitate entry, returning to its predefined position as soon as it is occupied.

The sequence is reversed when exiting the vehicle in a gesture that reflects the attention to detail and care the vehicle has for its occupants.

Inside, the cabin exemplifies Mazda’s Smart Cockpit philosophy. The screens and controls naturally radiate into the driver’s field of vision, reducing distractions and improving reaction times. A large Head-Up Display projects essential driving data, such as speed, navigation instructions, and safety alerts onto the windshield at an ideal focal distance of 7.5 meters.

Drivers can customize the amount of information displayed through three modes – Minimal, Classic, or Custom – with an additional snow mode that changes the screen colors to enhance readability in brighter winter scenarios.

Behind the steering wheel, a 10.2’’ digital panel displays essential information about driving and vehicle status, including tire pressure, mileage, battery status, outside temperature, and open door alerts.

At the center of the dashboard, a 14.6’’ central touchscreen offers a refined interface for communication, entertainment, and vehicle settings.

Mazda focuses on intuitive interaction, with voice recognition available in nine European languages, allowing hands-free operation of the navigation system, audio, climate control, and much more, enabling the driver to stay focused on the road.

For quiet environments or with passengers sleeping, the intuitive gesture controls offer an alternative way to accept calls or operate the audio system without having to speak or touch the screen.

The new Mazda 6e also features a new navigation system that includes specific functions for electric vehicles. When calculating a route, the system suggests charging stations along the way to recharge the battery at the right moment during a trip. When the battery needs to be recharged, the navigation system suggests suitable charging stations that are nearby.

Mazda has already announced that the launch of sales for the new 6e in the European market will take place starting this summer, with Portugal having the first units for sale in mid-September.
