The new generation of the Toyota Land Cruiser is coming to the national market and continues to be a robustly built model, with off-road reliability and technology to go further.
Toyota has already announced that the new generation of the Land Cruiser, which is already available for ordering in the national market, represents a perfect fusion between heritage and modernity, incorporating the classic features that have made the Toyota SUV synonymous with durability and robustness, while introducing advanced off-road and safety systems to meet the needs of customers and fans worldwide.
Based on the global modular platform GA-F, the same as the Lexus LX or the Toyota Tacoma pickup sold in the North American market, the Land Cruiser Series 250 does not have the monocoque structure found in many competitors, as Toyota preferred to use the more conventional and robust solution of longitudinal and cross members.
The new Toyota Land Cruiser is offered with a 2.8 turbodiesel engine, with 204 hp and 500 Nm – an electrified version with Mild Hybrid technology and a 48V battery will be available soon – with transmission handled by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As standard, permanent all-wheel drive with “reduction gears”.
This generation of the Japanese brand icon is equipped with electric steering and for the first time, the front stabilizer bar can be electronically disconnected, which increases the articulation of the front wheels by 10% to increase suspension travel on more demanding terrain.
The interior of the new Land Cruiser 250 is now more technological and sophisticated, where every detail is meticulously designed to offer a unique driving experience. A good example is the Multi-Terrain Selector (MTS).
Available in the 7-seater configuration in dark gray color, with 20” alloy wheels, panoramic roof, with a 12.3″ dashboard with instrumentation and infotainment system screens, and a 360º panoramic camera. In addition, there are physical controls that facilitate, in particular, the use of driving aids on very rugged terrain.
As for the price, Toyota has revealed that the new generation of the Land Cruiser has a recommended retail price of €154,950.00, and the first deliveries are scheduled for the end of the first half of 2024.
