After presenting the second generation of the Kodiaq, Skoda has now revealed the Kodiaq RS, the most powerful version of the lineup.
Equipped with a new 2.0 TSI EVO gasoline engine producing 265 hp, an increase of 20 hp compared to its predecessor, and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The power is transmitted to all four wheels through a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.
These figures allow Skoda to announce that the Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 231 km/h.
The new Kodiaq RS is equipped with ventilated brake discs and red two-piston calipers on the front axle. Standard features also include progressive steering, which promises particularly safe and agile driving.
The DCC Plus chassis control is also standard, offering seven driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Off-Road, Snow, and Individual, which allow for electronic damping adjustments based on the driving style. The Kodiaq RS also includes Dynamic Sound Boost, which enhances the emotive sound of the engine.
Aesthetically, the Kodiaq RS features a distinctive exterior with glossy black details that contrast with muscular bumpers. Another exclusive detail is a horizontal light strip in the front grille.
As with all Skoda RS models, the rear section includes a reflector, and the Skoda letters on the tailgate are in black, along with polished stainless steel exhaust outlets.
Also noteworthy are the 20’’ black “Elias” alloy wheels, which are standard on the Kodiaq RS and feature a polished finish, as well as the lighting signature with LED Matrix headlights and LED taillights, complemented by dynamic turn signals connected by a red decorative strip.
In the cabin, the Kodiaq RS offers two trim levels: the RS Lounge Design Selection for the entry-level version, which includes sporty front seats that are electrically adjustable and have a memory function, with upholstery in black suede and artificial leather with red stitching.
The RS Suite Design Selection level includes the same sporty seats with black perforated leather upholstery and contrasting red stitching, electrically adjustable and ventilated.
The Skoda Kodiaq RS is also equipped with a three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel, a 10” instrument panel, and a standard 10” infotainment system, with an optional 13” screen available with the Technology package.
