Mitsubishi is preparing to launch the new plug-in hybrid Outlander in Europe, and announced that the release of the new generation of the well-known D-segment SUV is scheduled for October 1st.
Developed specifically for Europe, the new model is based on the “I-Fu-Do-Do” concept, which in Japanese means “authentic and majestic”, integrating Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (PHEV) 4×4 technology with two motors and high electric autonomy, expressive design, and high-level safety and comfort, attributes that aim to elevate the brand to a new qualitative level in the European market.
The Japanese brand has already announced that in the new Outlander PHEV, the increased power of the front and rear motors, respectively to 107 hp and 134 hp, ensures greater propulsive force to the wheels of both axles, which according to Mitsubishi significantly improves road performance in various weather and road conditions.
It should be noted that the previous generation of the Outlander was a pioneer in combining PHEV technology with the SUV concept, achieving sales of 200,000 units in Europe since its launch in 2013.
With the presentation of the new generation scheduled for the first day of October, Mitsubishi has already revealed that the production of the new model is planned for the end of 2024.
