Nissan has expanded the availability of its next-generation NissanConnect services to Europe, and as a result, the updated Nissan Qashqai now offers an even more personalized experience, integrating services such as Google built-in.
This allows drivers to use Google Maps and, once logged in with a personal Google account, access their favorite locations and points of interest.
This reduces the dependence on a mobile phone and mobile network. Wireless updates ensure that map information is always up to date. With Google Assistant, drivers can also adjust functions such as air conditioning and set navigation with a more natural language and voice control.
The new generation of NissanConnect services also provides access to an ecosystem of applications available for download on Google Play, allowing them to conveniently listen to their favorite music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more directly from their vehicle.
The interface has been improved, allowing for more intuitive operation and information recognition, reducing stress during driving.
The system also offers a range of functions to support customer ownership. If they forget to close a window or accidentally leave a door open, the app notifies them of the vehicle’s status through a push notification.
To support vehicle maintenance and management, the NissanConnect Services app can notify owners about parts replacement and allow them to schedule service appointments.
In addition, NissanConnect services can help identify economical charging times for electric vehicles, taking into account the remaining battery capacity and off-peak electricity consumption hours.
The Japanese brand revealed that compared to the previous generation of NissanConnect, the number of vehicle functions that can be controlled through the next-generation NissanConnect Services app has doubled. The system provides a more personalized experience, aiming to enhance the lifestyle of owners, both inside and outside their vehicles.
