Fiat has confirmed that the new 500 Hybrid, a Made-in-Italy hybrid, is expected to be launched between late 2025 and early 2026. The confirmation came during Olivier François, CEO of FIAT’s visit to the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy.
It is already known that the new hybrid model will join the 100% electric Fiat 500e and will be powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder Firefly gasoline engine, combined with a mild-hybrid system.
“Mirafiori is one of our engines that represent Italy, its people, its values, its pride, and the 500. However, currently, 90% of Mirafiori’s production goes abroad. To increase the number of 500 models on Italian roads and to meet the needs of Italian customers, we have decided to produce the new 500 Hybrid. The new 500 Hybrid has an Italian name, will be developed and designed in Turin, and proudly manufactured in Mirafiori. It is clear that Mirafiori plays a strategic role for the brand and that we continue to invest in Italy, the 500, and Mirafiori.”, highlighted Olivier François.
In addition to confirming the production of the new Hybrid in Italy, Fiat also presented the new 500e Mirafiori (in the images), which pays tribute to the workforce of the Italian factory.
A 100% electric convertible model with two battery options, 42 kWh or 23.8 kWh, available in Celestial Blue. Standard features include level 2 driving assistance technologies and a 360° drone-type parking assistance system.
Furthermore, inside highlights include premium soft-touch seats, a 10.25″ touchscreen radio, and a 320-Watt premium JBL audio system.
The embedded navigation, connected services, and full-LED projectors enhance the experience. The 16” alloy wheels with polished finish and chrome details add a touch of sophistication to the premium interiors.
However, this 500e Mirafiori will not be available in the Portuguese market, as it is a model exclusive to the Italian market.
