Bentley revealed this Wednesday that it will present the new fourth-generation Continental GT Speed, the first model to make use of the new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, on June 25th.
The new Continental GT will come with a 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers a power of 782 hp and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm, which combines with an electric motor that is expected to be integrated into the gearbox and that transmits power to all four wheels.
The Crewe brand has announced that the new Ultra Performance Hybrid engine is the most dynamic, responsive, and efficient in Bentley’s history and consistent with a new generation of new models.
In addition to the high power of the plug-in hybrid technology, the new Continental GT Speed will have an 80 km range in 100% electric mode, thus contributing to a CO2 emissions value of less than 50g/km.
Bentley has not revealed many technical details of the new model, but has announced that in order to preserve its dynamic character, the new generation of the Continental GT Speed will receive new dual-valve dampers, as well as enhanced active stabilizer bars, electronic limited-slip differential, and four-wheel steering.
The British brand describes the new Continental GT Speed as the most powerful road model in Bentley’s 105-year history, and as an important step in its electrification strategy to become a leader in sustainable luxury mobility with the availability of a plug-in transmission in all model ranges.
