Manhart continues to evoke emotions with its more radical preparation of some BMW models.
This time, the German tuner decided to give more “muscle” to the BMW M5 and did not hold back. The change was radical, considering that the factory version of the M5 delivers 727 hp and 1000 Nm of maximum torque, a power that results from the plug-in hybrid system composed of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine S68 and an electric motor.
Not satisfied with these numbers, Manhart significantly increased those of the MH5 900E, which now delivers 910 hp and 1200 Nm of maximum torque. To achieve this, it equipped the model with a Manhart Turbo Upgrade along with the proven Manhart MHtronik powerbox, as well as a stainless steel exhaust system with a valve function and four matte black 115 mm tips.
The MH5 900E compensates for the unrestrained power of its engine with adequate deceleration, benefiting from a standard carboceramic disc braking system. However, Manhart has enhanced the suspension, offering two options: one with more economical H&R springs, and another, more refined, with KW Variant 4 coilover suspension.
This Manhart treatment not only enhances driving dynamics, but the resulting lowering of the vehicle is also an essential component for visual refinement, highlighted by the 21’’ wheels at the front and 22’’ wheels at the rear axle.
Inside, Manhart did not make significant changes, limiting itself to installing a new Alcantara headliner and equipping the MH 900E with floor mats featuring embroidered Manhart letters.
