Unveiled during the 2024 Monterey Car Week, the Lamborghini Temerario is the second High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) super sports car and the third step in the brand’s electrification strategy, completing the hybrid adaptation of the entire lineup from the house of Sant’Agata Bolognese, following the Revuelto and the Urus SE.
Setting a new standard for the super sports car segment with a total power output of 920 hp, capable of reaching a top speed of 343 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds thanks to its twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors. The Temerario features a super sports car engine that can reach 10,000 rpm.
To ensure the best driving dynamics, the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand highlights the spatial approach of the multi-technology aluminum structure in which the super sports car is built, designed to withstand the high loads resulting from the new hybrid power unit.
In addition to ensuring excellent mechanical qualities, Lamborghini also guarantees a “remarkable efficiency in weight reduction.” To achieve this, the chassis of the Temerario introduces a new high-strength alloy for high-pressure castings; the use of high-strength hydroformed extrusions; and an increase in the number of hollow castings with thin closed inertia sections, obtained through the use of internal cores.
These technologies have allowed for the construction complexity of the “spaceframe” to be minimized and the weight to be optimized, while at the same time the new hybrid engine adopts a reduction of over 50% in components compared to the Huracán.
The new construction architecture has also provided increases in torsional rigidity of more than 20% compared to the previous generation’s “spaceframe,” in addition to offering the best possible weight limitation of the vehicle, ensuring the highest level of occupant safety and significantly contributing to reference driving dynamics.
