O primeiro SUV da Aston Martin: LUV nasceu há 14 anos… e pode ser seu!

Long before launching the DBX, Aston Martin had already embraced, or showed signs of wanting to embrace, the trendy car format, so the DX was not, in fact, the first SUV from the Gaydon house. In 2009, the Gaydon house showed the world, at the Geneva Motor Show, the now almost unknown LUV Concept, a prototype of a inflated-shaped model, equipped with a 5.9-liter V12 engine. At the time, the intention of the British luxury car brand was to bring back the Lagonda seal for its most exclusive and refined creations.

Based on the Mercedes GL platform
Bids for the unique specimen exceed €22,000, three days before the end of the auction

The model never went into serial production, and the only existing prototype, built on the technical platform of the Mercedes GL of the time, is being auctioned on the Collecting Cars platform. Aston Martin’s one-off is fully functional, but has an electronic flaw that prevents it from starting. Something that is not enough to discourage fans of the brand, with bids already above €23,500, with three days left until the end of the auction.

5.9-V12 engine is the same as the DB9
