Fines for speeding resulting from radar surveillance managed by the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) increased by more than 40% in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 128,966.
The data is included in the March 2024 report on 24-hour accident and road surveillance, released this Friday by ANSR, which indicates that in the first three months of 2024, the National Speed Control System (Sincro) radar control recorded 59,805,829, compared to 30,471,242 recorded in the same period of 2023.
The report also states that the radar system under the responsibility of ANSR ensured 96.1% of the total surveillance in the first three months of 2024, while in the same period of the previous year it had been 91%.
On the other hand, fines resulting from Sincro radar surveillance increased by 40.8%, going from 91,601 in the first quarter of 2023 to 128,986 in the same period this year.
