Epiq concept antecipa o futuro modelo elétrico de baixo custo da Skoda

Skoda revealed before the opening of the Munich Motor Show, the concept of the Skoda Epiq, a model that promises to be the brand’s affordable electric vehicle from Mladá Boleslav.

Although the Epiq presented to the public in Munich is a preview of the production model that will arrive in 2026, the model features a bold and minimalist design and innovative elements that highlight practical solutions, making the Epiq an important model for the Czech brand.

Aesthetically, the Epiq concept measures 4.1 meters in length and features a front section design marked by a closed Tech-Deck Face grille in glossy black, a light signature that presents daytime running lights in “T”. The headlights are positioned lower, enhancing the robust look with a front bumper featuring a spoiler finished in Cosmo gray, which gives, according to Skoda, “a dynamic and contemporary appearance”.

On the interior, Skoda has not yet revealed images of the cabin; however, it announces that the Epiq concept focuses on a practical cabin with intelligent solutions for daily use, featuring generous storage capacity, a trunk that offers 475 liters of space, physical buttons, hooks for bags, and hidden compartments, as well as an integrated digital experience with advanced technologies and driver assistance systems.

The combination of practicality and intelligent design promises that the Epiq will meet the needs of families and customers looking for a healthier lifestyle.

Although the concept presented in Munich is just a preview of the production model, which will be unveiled in mid-next year, it is already known that the Epiq will be produced at the VW Navarra factory in Spain, as part of a joint development and production project integrated into VW’s Brand Group Core (BGC). With the EUCF initiative, the BGC aims to democratize electric mobility for future generations by introducing four attractive and affordable electric vehicles, distributed across three brands.

“The Epiq show car offers a concrete glimpse of the next member of Skoda’s successful 100% electric family. It embodies the essence of the brand: modern and solid design, spacious interior with a compact shape, intuitive and easy-to-use digital interfaces, as well as Simply Clever details that ensure a seamless experience – and, above all, at an attractive price. With the Epiq, we take another step towards making electric cars a practical and appealing option for everyday life”, said Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto.
