Mercado de veículos elétricos cresce 31% em setembro

The French company Chargemap, the leading European platform for electric vehicle charging, with 2.8 million users across Europe, has officially launched its services in Portugal.

The expansion of Chargemap is happening with the support of Powerdot, the leading Portuguese operator in fast charging at commercial spaces in Europe, and a shared commitment to building a more accessible and efficient electric mobility ecosystem.

The integration of the Chargemap platform with Powerdot’s extensive network will allow Portuguese drivers to easily locate and access charging points throughout the country, through a single trusted application. This initiative is expected to boost the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), reduce barriers to charging, and accelerate the transition to more sustainable mobility.

“Electric mobility is growing rapidly in Portugal, a key market for both local drivers and European travelers. The decision to enter is due to strong demand: being able to drive and charge anywhere, simply and confidently, not only in Portugal but throughout Europe”, says Yoann Nussbaumer, founder of Chargemap, as quoted in a statement.

“Our partnership has always been more than technology; it is about creating real value for users and for the electric vehicle ecosystem. With this entry into the national market, we have made access to charging stations, simplified payments, and a more reliable, user-centered network easier than ever. This is a decisive moment for electric mobility in Portugal, and we are proud to lead this movement together”, emphasized José Sacadura, co-founder and general director of Powerdot in Portugal, as quoted in a statement.

Powerdot and Chargemap maintain their commitment to the development of the electric mobility ecosystem in Portugal, bringing innovative solutions and joint campaigns that promote the adoption of electric vehicles and improve the experience for drivers.
