Dacia reforça a aposta no essencial e simplicidade dos seus novos modelos

Dacia has already announced that it intends to expand its electric range by 2027, and that the first step in this expansion is through the popular Sandero. However, Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia, has now confirmed that the Duster will also move towards electric mobility.

In an interview with “Autocar”, Denis Le Vot made it clear that an electric variant of the Duster “will arrive in due time,” although he did not disclose a launch date.

The future electric Duster will likely be based on the CMF-BEV architecture, also known as AmpR Small. This platform already serves the fully electric Renault 5 and 4, and will be used in the upcoming 100% electric models from Nissan, including the new Micra and the future generation of the Juke.

The flexibility of this platform to support front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations is seen as ideal for the future electric Duster.

Dacia intends to adopt the same platform across its entire range of electric vehicles, which seems to be a straightforward choice, as the CMF-BEV platform is an evolution of the CMF-B that Dacia already uses in the Sandero, Jogger, Duster, and Bigster.

Details about the expansion of Dacia’s electric model range are expected to be revealed in November during a special brand event.
