The 2023 Formula 1 season ends this weekend. The titles have already been decided for a few rounds, but there are still accounts to be settled in the championships at the Abu Dhabi GP in Yas Marina.
Max Verstappen and Red Bull are already champions, while Sergio Pérez has already secured the runner-up position. In the Drivers’ Championship, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) has also guaranteed third place. The battle for fourth place remains, between Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), George Russell (Mercedes), and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). The four are separated by only 12 points – Sainz and Alonso are tied for fourth and fifth with 200 points each.
As for the Constructors’ Championship, behind the already crowned Red Bull, the second place is yet to be decided. It is currently occupied by Mercedes, with only four more points than Ferrari. McLaren still needs to secure fourth place ahead of Aston Martin, with an 11-point advantage. There is then a mathematically open fight for seventh place between Williams, AlphaTauri, Alfa Romeo, and Haas.
