BYD announced that the accumulated sales volume of the Atto 3 electric SUV has already surpassed 1 million units worldwide. Launched in China in February 2022, under the name Yuan Plus, the Atto 3 took three years and nine months to exceed one million units sold.
BYD’s electric SUV is a global model with a presence in about 110 markets worldwide, which means that BYD took 1,391 days to reach the milestone of 1 million deliveries of the Atto 3, selling about 30 units of this model per hour. That amounts to 719 cars per day, 5,032 units per week, and 20,129 units per month.
According to BYD, the Atto 3 has become the third model in the Dynasty series to sell 1 million units, a feat so far achieved only by the Seal-U and the Qin sedan. In addition to these models, the urban Seagull, launched in Portugal as Dolphin Surf, has also surpassed one million units sold in two years, but this model belongs to the Ocean series.
It is worth noting that the Atto 3 has recently been updated and is based on the technologically advanced e-Platform 3.0 and is equipped with a 60.4 kWh Blade Battery, which allows it to provide an urban range of up to 565 km (WLTP cycle).
In terms of pricing, the updated BYD Atto 3 is available in the national market in the Comfort version for €42,490, and Design for €44,490, excluding legalization fees, transportation, and additional painting option costs.
