AC Cars has decided to bring back one of the most acclaimed roadsters in its history, the AC Ace, which will be available in two distinct versions that reflect the evolution of the original model, which ceased production in 1963.
Throughout the 123 years of the company’s history, no other model from AC Cars’ past holds the same significance as the AC Ace. With an innovative chassis for its time and a lightweight aluminum body, the roadster earned the respect of enthusiasts and drivers for being one of the best sports cars of all time.
The effort to bring back the AC Ace was undertaken by the newly created AC Cars Classics division, which employed cutting-edge construction techniques to recreate the new AC Ace and AC Ace Bristol, utilizing an original-type chassis, a carbon fiber body, and a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline 4-cylinder engine with injection, producing over 300 hp and a maximum torque of 375 Nm.
The power is delivered to the asphalt through a six-speed manual gearbox, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, providing an unparalleled driving experience.
Offering two distinct automotive personalities, the new models reflect the evolution of the original AC Ace over a decade of production of the iconic British model.
“The new AC Ace and Ace Bristol Classics prove that a classic style car can deliver excellent performance and driving experience. Returning to the themes of lightweight and powerful, AC Cars Classics’ work in engineering these models demonstrates our ability to blend the classic with modern technology”, said David Conza, CEO of AC Cars.
The British brand has already opened orders for the new AC Ace, announcing that the first deliveries are expected in the summer of 2025, and that interested buyers will need to shell out around €209,000.
