BMW M3 CS Touring chega com 550 cv

BMW has finally unveiled the all-new M3 CS Touring, a performance-oriented version of the M3 Touring wagon.

Like the M3 CS Sedan, the muscular M3 CS Touring also receives several performance enhancements that promise to elevate the wagon to a new level of performance. To start, BMW has refined the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with two turbos, increasing the boost pressure from 1.7 bar to 2.1 bar, which allows the power to rise to 550 hp and 650 Nm of maximum torque, meaning an additional 20 hp over the M3 Competition.

The power is transmitted to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the M3 CS Touring to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds quicker than the “normal” M3 Touring. The announced top speed is 300 km/h, benefiting from the M Driver’s Package included as standard.

This model, aimed at families who enjoy sportier vehicles, is also equipped as standard with electronically controlled dampers and an aluminum structural reinforcement in the front section that enhances the rigidity of the body.

In addition, to stop the M3 CS Touring, BMW equipped the model with a braking system that utilizes larger brakes, and as an option, carboceramic discs are available, hidden behind 19’’ wheels at the front and 20’’ wheels at the rear.

BMW also worked on reducing the weight of the M3 CS Touring, managing to eliminate 15kg by using various carbon fiber components, such as the hood, front lip, air intakes, mirror covers, rear diffuser, and an exhaust system with adjustable valves and a titanium rear silencer.

In terms of design, the most noticeable change is in the grille, which gives the M3 CS Touring a more aggressive appearance. Additionally, BMW equipped the station wagon with LED daytime running lights in a yellow hue, as well as a new rear spoiler.

Inside, the highlight is the electrically adjustable M Carbon bucket seats, which are heated and feature illuminated CS emblems, along with an M steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara and a flat bottom.

BMW has already announced that deliveries of the BMW M3 CS Touring will begin in March, but take note that this model will have limited production, although BMW has not revealed the number of units it will produce.
