Fans of “Batman” will soon be able to acquire the Batmobile, a vehicle that first appeared in cinemas in 2005 and has since become a fundamental piece of the superhero from American DC Comics.
Warner Bros has announced that it has reached an agreement with Action Vehicle Engineering to produce a limited edition of 10 units of the Tumbler, the vehicle used by “Batman.” Each vehicle will be based on a tubular chassis made of aerospace steel, while the body panels will be made from a combination of Kevlar, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and metal sheet.
The limited edition Tumbler will measure 4.64 meters in length and 2.82 meters in width and is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine from General Motors, which produces 525 hp, the same engine used in the Chevrolet Corvette C6, coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
While this Tumbler may not be particularly agile, Warner Bros revealed that the Batmobile will weigh around 2,500 kg, making it lighter than a Hummer EV.
The interior of the Batmobile has not been revealed; however, Warner Bros indicates that it will feature two screens for the instrument panel and infotainment system, as well as a climate control system.
To acquire one of the 10 units of the Tumbler, interested parties will need to register on the Wayne Enterprises website to express their interest and pay around €2.7 million to take the Batmobile home.
