Audi seems to be willing to recreate the A2 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the well-known model from the Ingolstadt brand.
According to the “Autocar,” an exclusive A2 E-tron is the latest creation from Audi’s learning process, which in recent years has introduced the RS6 GTO as well as the NSU Prinz (models shown in the images).

The four-ring brand has not revealed details about the electric A2, but everything suggests that the special anniversary model will be equipped with a LED technology light signature, an illuminated Audi logo, and door handles.

Instead of traditional exterior rearview mirrors, cameras are included. There is also a note about the wheels with improved aerodynamics, certainly contributing to a greater range for the model.
It is worth noting that Audi sparked speculation about the possibility of making the A2 a 100% electric model in 2019, when it unveiled the AI:ME concept, featuring a futuristic vision of a hatchback based on the MEB platform to succeed the A3. However, since then, the German brand has not announced any intention to turn the concept into a production model.

Launched in 1999, the A2 was produced until 2005, with around 177,000 units sold. Measuring less than four meters in length and 1.70 m in width, the A2
blended elements of a hatchback with those of a minivan, and it was the first compact vehicle to be built entirely from aluminum, a solution that at the time had only been seen in the A8, the top-of-the-line model from the Ingolstadt brand, and in the Honda NSX.
