In the early 1980s, the French manufacturer set out to dominate the highly contested Group B of the WRC, and for that, their engineers partnered with the bodywork company Heuliez to develop what is still the wildest production car to bear the Peugeot insignia.

Porsche 959

Like Ford, Porsche wanted to add a WRC title to its impressive trophy collection, so in the early 1980s, they began developing a rally car based on the 911. Led by talented engineer Helmuth Bott, the Group B project started with several prototypes and a highly sophisticated 4WD system nicknamed PSK (Porsche-Steuer Kupplung).

These models not only defined eras in their respective times, but also solidified the legacy of their brands as manufacturers of some of the most desirable and technically impressive cars in the world.
