Mini Cooper de 5 portas está de regresso com motorizações a gasolina

The Mini continues to expand its range and has now revealed the five-door version of the Cooper, which seems to be the last model from the brand to only offer combustion engines.

With a length of 4.03 meters, this new 5-door Cooper is 160 mm longer than the 3-door model and has 31 mm more than the previous 5-door model.

Just like the three-door Cooper, this longer version will have two gasoline versions. The Cooper C is equipped with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, which delivers 156 hp and 230 Nm of maximum torque to the front axle and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 225 km/h.

The Cooper S version is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with a power of 204 hp and 300 Nm of maximum torque, which allows for an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 242 km/h. Both versions are exclusively available with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The British brand has announced that the new Mini Cooper five-door is equipped with improved suspension and damping to allow for a more dynamic behavior, although adaptive suspension is also available as an option.

In addition, the 5-door Cooper features 16’’ to 18’’ wheels, with the 17’’ and 18’’ variants benefiting from wider tires measuring 215 mm.

In the interior, rear seat passengers have more legroom, 38 mm, benefiting from the larger dimensions of this Mini, along with a larger boot space with a capacity of 275 liters.

In addition, there are four levels of finish that feature high-quality and eco-friendly materials, such as recycled polyester knitted surfaces on the dashboard and door trims: Essential which features black seats with fabric in a specific pattern, Classic which is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, Favored which features a two-tone “houndstooth” pattern on the dashboard, and the JCW level which combines multi-colored mesh fabric with black stitching imitation leather.

Common to all versions is the 9.4” circular OLED screen that includes Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant, and which has seven configuration modes that allow you to change the interior ambiance.
