Tesla is struggling with sales, and in France and Sweden, the brand saw its model sales decline for the third consecutive month in March, contributing to the lowest sales figures for Tesla in the first quarter in both countries since 2021.
The “Reuters” reports that Tesla sold 3,157 new cars in France and 911 in Sweden in March, marking declines of 36.83% and 63.9% respectively compared to the same month in 2024. As a result, quarterly sales fell to 6,693 in France and 1,929 in Sweden.
Analysts expect that other car sales data will be released this Tuesday in Europe to provide insight into Tesla’s deliveries in the first quarter, as well as consumer sentiment towards the brand.
It is worth noting that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and a close ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump, sparked significant controversy in Europe by announcing his support for far-right political forces, which contributed to the decline in Tesla’s sales even before the revamped Model Y hit the market.
