Tesla’s sales in Europe fell by 52.6% in April compared to the same period in 2024, and 46.1% year-to-date, despite sales of 100% electric vehicles continuing to rise.
According to calculations by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), car sales in Europe recorded a decrease of 0.3% in April, despite strong growth in electrified vehicles.
However, in terms of 100% electric vehicles, Tesla maintained the downward trend in sales that it has recorded since January, and even the recent update of the Model Y does not seem to boost Tesla’s sales in the European market.
Furthermore, the negative reaction to CEO Elon Musk’s political opinions and increased competition from Chinese brands of 100% electric vehicles contribute to Tesla’s decline, which recorded a market share of 1.1% in the first four months of 2025, with 41,677 vehicles sold, compared to 77,314 recorded in the same period last year.
