Tesla’s factory in Germany will not quickly recover from the alleged sabotage attempt that took place earlier this week.
A responsible person from the production unit acknowledged that the factory located on the outskirts of Berlin is only expected to resume production on March 17th, after an environmental group set fire to a high-voltage pole near the factory.
The German electrical network operator, E.ON, has already announced that repair work on the high-voltage pole is being carried out and that power supply will be restored as soon as possible, without specifying a date.
Tesla estimates that the incident has caused losses in the hundreds of millions of euros, with production being forcibly halted last Tuesday.
