TESLA’S BOLD MOVE: Free FSD and Unlimited Supercharging Transfer

Tesla Pulls Out All the Stops to Boost Sales

In a surprising move, Tesla is taking a different approach to boost sales this year. Instead of cutting prices, the electric vehicle (EV) maker is offering non-financial incentives to entice customers. This strategy aims to dispel the misconception that EVs are too expensive.

Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, is known for his belief that demand for Tesla vehicles would be infinite if people could afford them. While this may not be entirely true today, as some Tesla models are now as affordable as their traditional counterparts, many potential buyers are still unaware of this fact.

Despite Musk’s promise to explore advertising options, Tesla’s efforts in this area have been lackluster. With limited hope of expanding their market, the company is turning to its loyal customer base to drive sales. Instead of price cuts, Tesla is now offering free Full Self-Driving (FSD) and unlimited Supercharging transfers to incentivize current owners to upgrade their vehicles.

Back in 2018, Tesla offered free unlimited Supercharging to early customers who purchased a Model S or Model X. Many of these customers still held onto their older EVs, especially those who used them for taxi or ride-hailing services. Last October, Tesla reintroduced the offer for a limited time to boost end-of-year sales. Failing to meet their goal of delivering 1.8 million EVs in 2023 would have disappointed investors.

In 2024, Tesla decided not to provide guidance on production or deliveries, which some interpreted as a negative sign. However, it could also be seen as a way for the company to relieve itself from the pressure of meeting artificial targets. Regardless, Tesla is now focused on kickstarting sales at the beginning of the year, when potential buyers typically have other priorities.

To achieve this, Tesla is once again offering free unlimited Supercharging transfers to owners who have not yet upgraded their vehicles from 2023. This time, they have sweetened the deal by including a free FSD transfer. This offer, which was popular during its initial testing last summer, is now available until March 31. Customers can also combine this offer with other federal and state incentives.

By leveraging these incentives, Tesla hopes to attract more customers and increase sales. While price cuts have been effective in the past, the company is now exploring alternative methods to maintain its competitive edge in the EV market.

Tesla’s latest offer is making waves in the US and Canada, but it comes with a surprising exception. While all Tesla vehicles are eligible for the deal, the highly anticipated Cybertruck is not included. This news may come as a shock to some, especially considering the Cybertruck’s current inability to run FSD Beta. However, there is still some good news for Cybertruck owners, as the Foundation Series models already come with free Supercharging for life.

The offer includes benefits for both FSD (Full Self-Driving) and free lifetime Supercharging transfer. These benefits can be stacked with inventory discounts, allowing customers to take advantage of multiple savings. For example, if someone owns a legacy Model S or Model X with free Supercharging and FSD, they can now purchase a Model Y at a discounted price. This Model Y will also come with FSD, unlimited free Supercharging, and the added bonus of a $7,500 Federal EV credit.

Tesla continues to innovate and offer enticing deals to its customers. With this latest offer, Tesla owners can enjoy the benefits of FSD and free Supercharging while taking advantage of inventory discounts. It’s a win-win situation for those looking to upgrade their Tesla vehicles. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience the future of electric transportation.
