Workers at Tesla in Sweden are on strike and the electric car brand has not delivered a model since October 27, which has already led Elon Musk to consider the strike “crazy” through social media.
The issue is Tesla’s refusal to sign a collective wage agreement, according to the IF Mettal union. “We are well prepared for a prolonged conflict,” said IF Metall spokesperson Jesper Pettersson to The Guardian.
The strike by Tesla workers in Sweden gained a new front on Monday, November 20, with postal workers showing their solidarity with the striking workers and refusing to deliver Elon Musk’s car license plates, which are delivered by the postal service in that country, preventing the American brand from delivering vehicles to its customers.
According to The Guardian, this is the biggest fight in decades to save Sweden’s union model from global labor practices.
