The President of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened to annul the contracts and government subsidies of Elon Musk’s companies, including Tesla.
“The easiest way to save billions and billions of dollars in our budget would be to cancel the subsidies and government contracts” of the boss of Tesla and SpaceX,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, at a time when the two former allies are publicly exchanging criticisms.
Another post by Trump on the same social media platform indicates that he will end the agreement that “forced everyone to buy electric cars that no one wanted,” adding that Musk had known about this intention “for months” and that the businessman had simply “gone crazy.”
The technology mogul Elon Musk accused Donald Trump on Thursday of showing “ingratitude” and said that without his support “he would have lost the elections” that brought him back to the White House.
It should be noted that the strongman of Tesla, Elon Musk, resigned from his position as a temporary employee of the U.S. administration last week, in a ceremony in the Oval Office where he and Trump praised each other.
