Tesla is finally, officially represented in an African market. Founded in 2003, the American electric vehicle manufacturer, after conquering the domestic market, China, and Europe, decided to enter a new region, with the opening of a representation in Casablanca, featuring a sales space and maintenance area, in a project supported by a subsidiary and a network of superchargers.
For the start of Tesla’s operations in Morocco, two models are available: Model 3 and Model Y (recently, it should be noted, the Palo Alto company announced the end of production for both the Model S and the Model X). The electric pickup Cybertruck does not appear in the Moroccan catalog of the manufacturer, although it is anticipated that it may be sold by order in that country.
According to a website specialized in the brand led by Elon Musk, Tesla has been operating in Morocco since 2021, the year the first Superchargers were installed in Casablanca and Tangier. Currently, the network of superchargers is available at six locations on the map of that African country.
