Tesla has decided to enhance the Model 3 and Model Y for the Chinese market, having now announced that the Model 3 Long Range with all-wheel drive will have greater range and increased acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h.
The brand of Elon Musk revealed that the version of the Model 3 now has a range of 753 km in the Chinese CLTC cycle, which is an increase of 40 km compared to the previous 713 km, as well as an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, compared to the previous 4.4 seconds.
In addition to the Model 3 Long Range, Tesla has also increased the range of the all-wheel drive Model Y to 750 km, compared to the previous 719 km.
This update of two models from the American electric vehicle brand comes at a time when there are rumors that Tesla is preparing to launch, still this year, a variant of the Model Y with three rows of seats and seven places, as well as a longer wheelbase.
Moreover, Tesla is trying to respond to strong competition from Chinese brands, in what is the largest car market in the world, which increased last week with the launch of the first SUV from Xiaomi, the YU7, which registered over 200,000 reservations in just three minutes.
