Tesla apresenta o robotáxi “Cybercab” com preço inferior a €28 000

Tesla continues to be committed to launching the new autonomous vehicle service in the city of Austin, USA starting June 22, however, Elon Musk’s brand is now facing opposition from public safety advocates in the state of Texas.

According to the American “CNBC”, members of the “Dawn Project”, “Tesla Takedown”, and “Resist Austin” movements are concerned about the launch of the robotaxi and claim that Tesla’s partially autonomous driving systems present safety issues.

The “The Dawn Project” movement even revealed that during tests, a Tesla robotaxi ran over a child mannequin following a reckless overtaking of a school bus.

In the USA, Tesla models are marketed with a standard automated driving package, and there is also a fully autonomous option, the well-known FSD system, which includes automatic lane keeping, automated steering, and parking.

It is worth noting that Elon Musk promised a paid robotaxi service in Austin, which will use about 10 to 20 Model Y vehicles that will operate in a limited area and under remote human supervision.

The company also plans to expand its operations to other states in the USA by the end of the year, including California, which has strict regulations for autonomous vehicles.
