The UP.FIT division of the American company Unplugged Performance, a leader in modifications for Tesla models, has prepared ten units of the Cybertruck for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), equipping them with the necessary accessories and features for patrol activities, including lights and even a compartment for transporting detained individuals during police operations. The vehicles now delivered are part of the LVMPD’s Remote Drone first response unit, which also required technical intervention that optimized the dynamics, braking, and performance of these pick-ups, the purchase of which was financed by private donations, with each unit allowing for savings of $47,540 (approximately €41,000) in just the first five years of use, compared to the pick-up with an internal combustion engine, due to reduced energy and maintenance costs.
