Surprise or not: The 2026 Mercedes-Benz EQS was caught Inside and Out

Surpresa ou não: Foi apanhado o Mercedes-Benz EQS de 2026 por Dentro e por Fora

The Mercedes-Benz EQS, the electric sedan (technically a liftback) that is about to turn three years old and therefore is due for a facelift. Although a mid-cycle refresh for the EQS still doesn’t seem necessary, spy photographers managed to capture several prototypes of the restyled EQS in two different environments, including the freezing cold of northern Europe. They were all covered in camouflage on the front and rear, but it was still possible to identify some of the visual updates.

One of the most important changes is the new signature headlights, apparently inspired by the CLA Concept. They are smaller this time and should provide better illumination of the road ahead, as well as giving the car a different appearance. The entire face looks the same, so it is safe to assume that the restyled EQS won’t win any beauty contests.

A new front bumper is expected, probably with different air intakes, and perhaps an adjusted grille with the large corporate logo still adorning it alongside a smaller one on the hood. The changes are less apparent at the rear, but still, expect revised taillight graphics and a new bumper. There’s no need to mention the proportions, wheelbase, roofline, etc., as it is not a new generation, so everything remains unchanged.

No significant updates are expected in the performance department, where the Mercedes-AMG EQS Sedan leads the family. It has an estimated EPA range of 277 miles (446 km) and accelerates to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds thanks to its combined 751 horsepower. It is possible that the restyled EQS will be launched sometime next year as a 2026 model.
