A Subaru unveiled a special edition of the WRX at the Tokyo Motor Show, the S210 STI Complete Car, a new model that will be put on sale next spring with a limited production of 500 units, likely all destined for Japan.
Based on the WRX S4 STI Sport R EX version, this WRX STI S210 edition is equipped with the well-known 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that has been enhanced to deliver a power output of 300 hp, which is 25 hp more than the “normal” version of the WRX.
The power is sent to all four wheels through a Subaru Performance Transmission, an updated variant of the CVT, making the WRX S210 the first WRX in the S series to forgo a manual transmission.
Additional upgrades include 19-inch STI wheels, a Brembo braking system with ventilated and slotted discs on all four wheels, and six-piston calipers at the front axle, as well as electronically controlled dampers from ZF and improved aerodynamics for the track, highlighted by a generously sized carbon rear wing, along with a front lip, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, all finished in Crystal Black Silica.
Inside, this special version of the WRX STI S210 features Recaro sports seats, with carbon fiber headrests and eight levels of adjustment.
Note the black finishes with red details, as well as STI logos and a plaque with the serial number S210, which identifies the exclusivity of this limited version of 500 units, which is unlikely to reach Europe.
