Struggling Alpine Driver Reveals the Truth Behind his F1 2025 Woes

In a shocking turn of events, Franco Colapinto, the young Alpine driver, has come forward to shed light on his struggles during the 2025 Formula 1 season. After an impressive stint as a substitute for Williams last year, where he showcased his talent by scoring points, Colapinto has hit a roadblock at Alpine.

Replacing Jack Doohan at the helm, Colapinto has failed to secure a single point in the seven rounds since his arrival, a stark contrast to his teammate Pierre Gasly’s 13-point haul during the same period. The Argentine driver attributed his difficulties to a lack of confidence in handling the car, stating, “I’m not finding, sometimes, my feet in some corners.”

Despite his promising start at Williams in the previous season, where he excelled by scoring twice in his first four races, Colapinto has struggled to find his rhythm at Alpine. He expressed his frustration, mentioning, “I didn’t have this issue last year, I could go straight in and be quick straight away.”

Colapinto highlighted the need to “maximize the weekend as a whole” as his primary area for improvement. While acknowledging the ongoing efforts with the team to address the issues, he remained hopeful of a turnaround, stating, “I feel there is progress that is being done behind the scenes.”

As the Formula 1 season gears up for its annual summer break after the Hungarian Grand Prix, Colapinto, unlike many drivers, will not be taking a holiday. Determined to overcome his performance struggles, he emphasized the importance of continuous learning and growth during the break, asserting, “You need to keep pushing and keep going.”

With the championship set to resume at Zandvoort in August, all eyes will be on Colapinto as he strives to bounce back stronger post the hiatus. Will he be able to turn the tide and reignite his F1 dreams? Only time will tell.
