Stroll estabelece tempo mais rápido para a Aston Martin no único treino livre do GP da China.

Lance Stroll, from the Aston Martin F1 Team AMR24, took the lead during the practice session at the Chinese Grand Prix. Stroll set the fastest lap time of 1:36.302s, surpassing McLaren’s Oscar Piastri by three tenths of a second. The track had been recently resurfaced, as it had been five years since Formula 1 last visited the venue. The session was briefly interrupted when a small fire started on the inside of Turn 7, but was quickly resolved. Lewis Hamilton faced some traffic issues on the restart, having to take evasive action to avoid colliding with Piastri’s McLaren. Ferrari initially had the upper hand over Red Bull, with Charles Leclerc leading Carlos Sainz. However, in the final stages, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, equipped with medium compound tires, overtook the Ferrari cars and occupied the top positions. Verstappen finished almost five tenths of a second ahead of Perez, who had a lock-up that affected his pace.

In a tabloid format, the text can be presented as follows:

Headline: Magnussen surpasses Red Bulls, Piastri leads McLaren’s attack

Paragraph 1: Kevin Magnussen showcased his skills by overtaking the two Red Bulls in his Haas car. Meanwhile, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri managed to outpace Max Verstappen, setting a time that was 0.031 seconds faster.

Paragraph 2: Lando Norris, Piastri’s teammate, seemed poised to beat Piastri’s time as he gained a four-tenths advantage in the first two sectors. However, he decided to abandon that lap.

Paragraph 3: Lance Stroll emerged as the fastest driver, surpassing Piastri and the two Red Bulls. Nico Hulkenberg also impressed by securing fifth place, ahead of his teammate.

Paragraph 4: Esteban Ocon, driving the updated Alpine A524, had a good start to the weekend, finishing in seventh place. Alex Albon, from Williams, showed promise by securing eighth place.

Paragraph 5: Daniel Ricciardo secured ninth place in the main Red Bull, closely followed by the two Saubers. Valtteri Bottas managed to surpass his teammate Zhou Guanyu, securing a spot in the top 10.

Paragraph 6: Yuki Tsunoda trailed Ricciardo in the VCARB 01 car, while the Ferrari duo dropped to 13th and 14th places after their late laps.

Paragraph 7: Logan Sargeant had a good start in his debut at the Shanghai International Circuit, briefly reaching second place, but ended up finishing in 15th place.

Paragraph 8: Norris, along with the two Mercedes drivers, struggled and ended up at the bottom of the classification. Fernando Alonso faced a similar challenge in the second Aston Martin, finishing 2.6 seconds behind his teammate. Pierre Gasly, from Alpine, finished in 20th and last place.
