Stroll acredita que a diferença de pontos na F1 com Alonso é um pouco enganadora.

Lance Stroll, member of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, expressed his belief that the points difference between him and his teammate Fernando Alonso is not a true reflection of their direct performance. Despite Alonso’s dominance over Stroll in the last season, the Canadian driver feels that external factors can heavily influence the points scored, making them deceptive. Stroll points out that Alonso’s status as a two-time world champion and his reputation as one of the best Formula 1 drivers may overshadow the fact that their qualifying performances have been evenly matched, with both drivers securing four wins each. Stroll emphasizes that engine failures and other unforeseen circumstances can significantly impact the final points tally at the end of the season, creating a misleading picture of their respective performances.

Mike Krack, CEO of Aston Martin, acknowledged that the updates implemented by the team at Imola did not bring the expected improvements and instead made the car more challenging to control. However, it was Fernando Alonso who had an accident during FP3 and was eliminated in Q1 at the Italian circuit, while Lance Stroll had a confident performance, finishing in ninth place.

Reflecting on his recent performances, Stroll expressed satisfaction with his own form. He highlighted that in terms of pace and speed, he has matched his teammate, who is often considered highly skilled. Stroll’s success against his teammate in the last few races speaks for itself.

Stroll reiterated his commitment to the Aston Martin project, emphasizing his excitement for the team’s future endeavors. He stressed that he finds more satisfaction in being part of Aston Martin’s journey than in seeking opportunities elsewhere.

Before his race at home at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Stroll, whose position with Aston Martin for 2025 has not yet been confirmed, reaffirmed his desire to stay with the team. When asked about his plans for 2025, Stroll stated that he sees himself continuing with Aston Martin. He expressed excitement about the developments happening at Silverstone and the team’s growth in recent years, indicating his strong connection to the project. While he is focused on performing well in Montreal, his home race, he also has his sights set on a long-term future with Aston Martin.
