Steve Letarte acredita que Bubba Wallace está destinado a estar na cabine de transmissão da NASCAR.

The former HMS team boss believes Bubba Wallace has a future in broadcasting. Steve Letarte and Bubba Wallace (Via IMAGO) Many of the top NASCAR Cup series drivers often transition to broadcasting after retiring from the sport. A recent example is the 2014 Cup champion, who joined the Fox booth. This role requires communication and analysis skills, and not everyone is able to meet the requirements.

During a discussion about the thrilling Cup race in Richmond, the former Hendrick Motorsports team boss and sports analyst highlighted Bubba Wallace from 23XI Racing as a potential future announcer. Letarte was impressed by the willingness of the Toyota No. 23 driver to apologize to his competitor for causing a spin on the penultimate lap, after carefully evaluating the incident.

The former team boss, who has won races in the past, seems to have been touched by Wallace’s decision to take responsibility for the car he drives, despite the fact that car No. 5 played a significant role in the incident. It will be interesting to see how the two-time Cup race winner performs in the broadcast booth, as he has not yet made an appearance as a commentator in Xfinity or Truck races like his peers.

Wallace’s spin on Larson on lap 499 completely changed the race, as the race leader at the time lost to another driver in overtime solely because of that incident. There were criticisms within the racing community, especially among fans, that the late yellow flag was unnecessary. However, Steve Letarte disagrees with these claims.

The points made by Letarte are valid, as there should not be a debate about the yellow flag call, even though Truex Jr. was affected. Wallace also should not receive much criticism, as it was the circumstances and not his actions that led to Larson’s spin. All the drivers involved have moved on and are now focused on the next race in Martinsville.
