Stelantis has reached an agreement with car rental company SIXT for the supply of 250,000 vehicles that will strengthen the company’s fleets in the European and North American markets.
The two companies have not disclosed the value of this agreement, only stating that it is a multi-million euro deal, and that Stellantis will begin significant volume deliveries in the first quarter of 2024, continuing until 2026.
Thus, SIXT rental customers will benefit from a selection of vehicles from Stellantis brands, including Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, Vauxhall, and Maserati.
The deliveries to SIXT will include a variety of segments, from urban vehicles to SUVs, vans, and light trucks (including 7 and 9-seater vehicles), including 100% electric vehicles.
In a statement, Stellantis also clarifies that, together with SIXT, it will explore potential cooperation opportunities in different regions of the world. This includes Mobilisights, Stellantis’ data-as-a-service (DaaS) business, for the supply and development of data packages that enable the licensing of products, applications, and B2B services to be made available to SIXT.
“This partnership with SIXT allows current and potential customers of the Stellantis brand to immerse themselves in our latest offerings in terms of advanced propulsion, vehicle connectivity, and inherent comfort. It is the best ‘test drive’ and a critical checkpoint for us in the coming years as Stellantis transforms into a sustainable mobility technology company,” said Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis.
