Among the most recent projects of the Stellantis Design Studio is the aesthetic and aerodynamic concept for shaping the first low-carbon hybrid passenger aircraft, the Aura Aero – ERA. In this case, the Stellantis Design Studio collaborated with Aura Aero on the sculptural exterior design of the ERA, one of the world’s first 19-seat hybrid electric regional aircraft. The project utilized the cutting-edge immersive virtual environment of the Cave Automatic Virtual Environment at this design studio to accelerate the development pace, as well as to evaluate and refine critical design areas, optimizing performance and aesthetics with the aerodynamics and engineering teams.
In addition, the Stellantis Design Studio has been collaborating with the French industrial group MND to implement new cable car concepts, leveraging Stellantis’s stamping technology to create a modular, durable, efficient, and innovative design for Orizon, a new innovative ecosystem – station, gondolas, and cable cars – in urban and mountain environments.
The work of the Stellantis Design Studio has also reached Formula E, where it developed a cutting-edge visual design to enhance the identity of the Maserati MSG Racing team, for use on the single-seaters and race suits.
