Stellantis will call back more than 120,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to an issue with the headrest. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the now-known “recall” affects certain models of the Ram 1500 and Jeep Gladiator. Affected owners will be notified and instructed to take their vehicles to a dealership for the necessary repair.
According to the NHTSA, the headrests in the affected vehicles may not provide adequate protection in the event of a collision. The problem has been linked to a potential malfunction in the headrest deployment system, which could lead to an increased risk of injury for occupants.
Stellantis announced that it is working closely with the NHTSA to ensure that the “recall” is conducted efficiently and effectively, and that the repair will be free of charge for affected owners.
