After announcing the suspension of production at the factories in Poissy, France, and Pomigliano, Italy, starting at the end of September for a period of up to three weeks, due to weak demand in the European market, Stellantis announced this Tuesday that it will temporarily halt production at the Mulhouse factory in northeastern France at the end of October.
According to the automotive group, the Mulhouse production unit will suspend production from October 27 to November 2, to adjust production to a “challenging” European market and to manage stocks as efficiently as possible before the end of the year.
The shutdown of the Mulhouse factory will affect about 2000 of the 4700 employees working at that unit, which produces two Peugeot models, the 308 and the 408, as well as the DS7.
